Data Retention and Disposal Policy

This Data Retention and Disposal Policy (“Policy”) describes how With Light AI (“we”, “us”) retains and disposes of personal and financial information processed through MeetDeb (the “Service”). It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to information we process to operate MeetDeb, including:
- Account and profile data (via our authentication provider)
- Financial account and transaction data obtained through Plaid when you choose to link accounts
- Product usage data and logs needed to secure and operate the Service
2. Retention principles
- Active accounts: We retain Service data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide features you use.
- Minimum necessary: We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required by law or legitimate business needs (for example, fraud prevention, security, or legal claims).
- Provider infrastructure: Our hosting, database, authentication, and logging providers may retain data according to their own retention and backup practices. We configure services to support deletion requests and apply reasonable safeguards.
3. User-initiated disposal (in-product)
MeetDeb provides controls to remove data:
- Clear linked financial data: You can remove connected accounts, transactions, and Plaid linkages from MeetDeb while keeping your account. This operation deletes the associated records from our application database for your user.
- Delete account: You can request deletion of your MeetDeb account through the app. Account deletion removes your application user record and associated data stored in our database, and deletes your user in our authentication provider, which ends your ability to sign in.
Specific steps: in the mobile app, use Settings (clear linked data / delete account). On the web, use Dashboard → Account to delete your account, and account management flows to clear Plaid-linked data where provided.
4. Plaid and financial connectivity
When you connect financial institutions through Plaid, Plaid processes data according to Plaid’s terms and policies. If you disconnect or remove Plaid-linked data through MeetDeb, we stop using that data in the Service and delete associated application records as described above. Plaid may retain information under Plaid’s own policies.
5. Backups and residual data
Data in encrypted backups may persist for a limited period until overwritten or rotated according to our hosting provider’s backup retention. We do not use backups for routine processing after deletion.
Some residual data may remain in internal logs or analytics for a limited time where deletion is technically impractical in real time; we apply reasonable minimization and access controls.
6. Legal holds
We may retain information longer if required to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or an enforceable government request, or if necessary to protect the security and integrity of the Service.
7. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date.
